As long as my little experiment has existed, you'd think by now that I would've popped a Beastie Boys video or two up under the "Listening Post" banner. As it turns out, though, I haven't.
Time to rectify that.
It seems like such an obvious thing to say -- that the Beasties rule in every possible way -- and yet they've been a staple of both hip-hop and alternative music for so many years that it's, ironically, sometimes easy to forget just how brilliant, groundbreaking and flat-out mind-blowing they've been and still are.
Here now, three classics from Mike D, Ad Rock and MCA:
First up, anyone unwilling to admit that Paul's Boutique was years ahead of its time doesn't deserve your friendship. From that album, here's Shake Your Rump.
