This is great stuff: Obviously, this morning there's quite a bit of fallout from last night's disgraceful outburst by South Carolina Congressman and unbelievable asshole Joe Wilson -- not limited to an official apology from Wilson himself.
But Simon over at Bloggasm notes that within the first several hours after Obama's speech, Wilson's opponent for his representative seat, Rob Miller, had raised more than $41,000 through the ActBlue fundraising page. It came mostly from Twitter users.
That $41,000 number by the way is the confirmed amount. When all is said and done, it's likely that Miller will have netted well over a hundred grand -- all because of Wilson's impulsive decision to mouth-off to the president of the United States on national television.
Good going, dumb-ass.
Incidentally, because of this, Blast Online this morning is asking if Joe Wilson is "The First Politician Axed by Twitter." Although read some of the comments posted to the story; the right-wing mouth-breather contingent is already coming out of the woodwork to embrace Wilson as their new hero.
