Okay, let me get this straight: It took CNN more than an hour to confirm the death of Michael Jackson after TMZ reported it, because, well, they needed to be absolutely sure -- but this morning some random guy with a police scanner heard the Coast Guard saying the words "bang, bang, bang," and the network ran his information to air as a possible terrorist threat on the Potomac, with shots fired and everything, in a matter of minutes.
What's wrong with this picture -- literally?
Holy hell, is cable news screwed up.
