Tonight, the season premiere of American Idol began with a shortened version of this clip. It features a group of frenzied 'tween girls reacting as David Cook's name is announced as the winner of last year's Idol.
Obviously, they were obsessively pulling for Disney character David Archuleta -- which means that, obviously, their response to hearing that he just lost is an exercise in Zen-like calm and self-control.
This is, quite possibly, the greatest thing I've ever seen.
Seriously -- I can watch it over and over and over.
