Andy Glib

There's an entertaining little takedown of the films of Clint Eastwood in the Huffington Post right now. While I'm generally not a fan of the latter-day work of Eastwood as a director -- mostly because what's often lauded as giving a film "room to breathe" is really nothing more than snail's pacing; every one of his recent movies could easily lose a half-hour off of its run time -- what makes the HuffPo piece amusing is that it's written by Andy Pemberton.

Who is Andy Pemberton, you ask?

He's an insufferable little shit of a magazine editor who, in his bio, actually claims the coining of the terms "trip-hop" and "superclubs" as a noteworthy career accomplishment -- a guy who helmed the now-defunct Blender and almost brought Spin crashing down in flames at one point.

Better yet, maybe you should see for yourself the Pem's handiwork. All-around cool guy Dave Itzkoff from the Times posted this on Twitter last week.
