First it was Dick Cheney practically going door-to-door to convince Americans that we didn't torture. And even if we did it saved lives. And we're less safe now that we're debating whether it was or wasn't torture. And "Hey, look at that shiny object over there," -- and so on.
Now his daughter, Liz, has decided to go into the family business, creating an impressively quasi-Spectorian Wall of Bullshit from the Cheney clan on the subject of torture.
The question, though, is -- why?
Cesca thinks he may know the answer, and if he's right, it's a criminal conspiracy that goes a hell of a lot further than just selling out our ideals and values.
