Comment of the Week

From yesterday's "And Now a Question for Parents of Young Children, from Chez's Evil Twin, Garth" post, compliments of Aconite:

"Personally I can't wait for the Indian kid* themed show to pop up next: Namaste Sangeeta, a show about an intrepid 10 year old called Sangeeta and her adventures with her lovable pet cow Rani.

She uses her smarts and tenacity to find new ways of helping her family in every episode - whether it be sweeping the floors and washing the clothes most efficiently, or learning exciting new recipes to please her future husband, working 16 hours a day to put her brothers through school AND save up a dowry for each of her sisters, or narrowly escaping being sold to prostitution by the local gang. And she does it all while always keeping her head respectfully down and never speaking unless spoken to!

This is the show EVERY Indian girl needs to see, to teach her the important lessons in life!

With Sangeeta's tips for everyday life, there's no WAY your in-laws would ever throw you out of the house and make you go back to your parents in disgrace!

Who's with me? Anyone? No?

*(I meant sub-continental Indian, not Native Amercian, just in case it wasn't clear.)"

Congratulations, Aconite. You've just won a lifetime subscription to Vishnu Today magazine.
