How I Spent My Birthday:
Slept late.
Woke up, went downstairs and made breakfast for Jayne: mediterranean scrambled eggs with feta, shallots, creme fraiche and a dash of caviar; white toast with honey butter; bacon fried in sherry and cinnamon; vanilla hazlenut coffee.
Fed, played with Inara.
Added a couple of things to the site.
Walked up the street in the rain to the store, bought The Dark Knight, rented Wall-E and Tropic Thunder. Bought Christmas cookie mix, new long-underwear shirt (because the crappy weather is nature's way of saying the Seattle look is back) and a travel mug for Jayne (not a Christmas present, just because she needs one).
Came home, put Inara down for her nap, watched Tropic Thunder with Jayne.
Woke up Inara, played with her.
Cooked dinner for Jayne: pork mignon with a mustard and brandy cream sauce; light salad; Veuve Clicquot champagne.
Watched Seinfeld.
Responded to some of the very nice Facebook birthday wishes.
Gave Inara a bath, fed her, put her to sleep.
Went to bed with Jayne.
Eventually fell asleep.
Had very nice dreams.
All in all, the perfect birthday.
