"He put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals. He also grabbed my head and brought it to his crotch."
-- Sharon Bialek, who claims that Herman Cain sexually harassed her in 1997
Actually the claim would be sexual assault, not harassment.
Okay, so I admit it -- I may despise Gloria Allred with the fire of a thousand suns but her client is telling one hell of a story. I'm not going to bother trying to pick apart how credible she is, whether what she's saying is true or a complete fabrication; I'm just going to approach it from a political and media perspective and say flat-out that Cain won't be able to run and hide from this. Not anymore.
He may be innocent. He may be guilty as sin.
Either way, he's pretty screwed.
Update: Here's the video of the press conference. By the way, is it just me or does Bialek bear an uncanny resemblance to Allred offspring Lisa Bloom?
Glenn Greenwald Honorary Update #2: Well, at least now we know what Cain's jobs plan entails.
