Creative Writing for TV News: Lesson #113

This morning on the Today Show, Ann Curry introduced a story about a woman whose body had been found torched in Miami. Curry referred to the victim as an "aspiring model," who was vacationing from Michigan and had disappeared from a place called Space, which is a behemoth club located in downtown Miami.

She tossed it out to veteran journalist Mark Potter who was then forced to say, with a straight face, that 26-year-old Paula Sladewski had been an "exotic dancer and aspiring model."

In other words, she was a stripper.

If you follow this logic, you can rightly call me an aspiring billionaire.

(By the way, am I the only one who finds the woman in that picture even more terrifying -- and certainly more plastic -- than sex robot Roxxxy?)
