So Crystal Bowersox, who you may remember was hands-down the best thing on the last season of American Idol, got married yesterday. To a musician named Brian Walker. A musician who, by the way, isn't the same guy America watched sit in the audience and cheer for her all throughout her rise to the show's finals earlier this year.
Look, I don't pretend to know a whole lot about this girl's love life, and she's of course entitled to do whatever she wants. But why does it really rub me the wrong way that the poor schlub who backed her when she was a nobody gets dumped the minute she becomes a somebody (she reportedly broke up with him the night of the season finale) and the new guy winds up marrying her within a few months of officially getting together with her?
Damn, I'm jaded these days.
