Assistant Quote of the Day

"He says that but at the end of the tape, the girl walks away and Hulk hits her in the back with a chair, then he flexes toward the camera and says Hulkamania just ran wild over her. So it sorta seems like he knew it was being filmed."

-- Brendon at What Would Tyler Durden Do? on Hulk Hogan's insistence that he was set up and didn't realize he was being taped having sex, and that's what accounts for an alleged sex tape of him now being shopped around

Quote of the Day

"NBC has been in last place for years, because they don’t know what the hell they’re doing, but now they finally have a new and exciting plan for climbing out of the cellar. And that plan is to rip off ‘Glee’. So last night ‘Smash’ premiered, and began the tale of two actresses fighting it out to play Marilyn Monroe in a Broadway play. In one corner, there’s young, inexperienced Broadway dreamer Karen Cartwright (Katharine McPhee) and in the next is Ivy Lynn (Megan Hilty), a stage veteran who is more than ready for her chance to shine. And now there’s a whole 'Team Karen' and 'Team Ivy' movement so people can support their favorite. So which team are you? Who do you think should get that part? That was rhetorical of course, and please believe me when I tell you that if you answered it, I hate you."

Quote of the Day, Jr.

"Hey, One Million Moms. Guess what. The whole god damn world doesn’t revolve around you and your stupid kid. Ben and Jerrys can make an ice cream with fish hooks and ecstasy tabs in it for all I care. Your kid, your problem. Leave the rest of us alone. And I bet that for every letter you write demanding this be stopped your husbands will write 2 demanding more if that's what it takes to keep your fat asses away from ice cream."

-- Brendon at What Would Tyler Durden Do, on the "One Million Moms" protest against Ben & Jerry's "Schweddy Balls" ice cream

It's important to remember that the humorless harridans collectively known as One Million Moms make up an offshoot of the ultra-conservative American Family Association, so their daffy indignation here should surprise no one.

You know something, though? Considering the kind of country One Million Moms are constantly insisting we need to return to, how are they finding time for activism?

Shouldn't you ladies be, you know, in the kitchen or something? Your husband's not going to be happy if he gets home and finds that supper isn't on the table. And you know what happens to you then.

Quote of the Day

"Yeah that must be it. It’s Tennessee's fault. That’s what I was thinking too. Because when I picture Tracy Morgan, and think of a place where he would fit right in and feel right at home, it’s Nashville, Tennessee. Finally, he was with his own kind. I’m surprised he didn’t fall asleep right on the sidewalk he felt so comfortable."

-- Brendon at What Would Tyler Durden Do? on Wanda Sykes's comment tying Tracy Morgan's vicious anti-gay joke to the fact that he was performing in Tennessee when he made it
