I realize that this will sound slightly exploitative, and I certainly don't mean for it to -- but with the large response to the recent extended piece on love and marriage, I wanted to make a very big push for readers to pick up a copy of my book, Dead Star Twilight, if they haven't done so already.
Basically, the memoir is the full story of the downward spiral and eventual break-up between Kara and myself. Also, Abby is featured prominently within the story. I just figured that for those who were interested in finding out more about these people and that particular period in my life -- and really who wouldn't be? (he said while rolling his eyes) -- buying the book will provide all the pertinent information.
There's another reason I hope you'll buy a copy of Dead Star Twilight, and believe it or not it has nothing to do with sending money my way (although that's always nice). It's actually more a matter of sales figures. I'm trying to drive up my numbers because -- well, I can't really get into that. Suffice it to say, I have my reasons and they're pretty good. Hopefully some decent things will be on the horizon for yours truly in the professional sphere, but obviously your support would help in immeasurable ways.
If you'd like to get yourself a copy of Dead Star Twilight, you can purchase it as an e-book that will immediately be downloaded to your computer by clicking here. By the way, to those who've already read the book and have responded to it so favorably, thank you; I'm honored that it moved you, made you laugh, kept you turning the pages, etc. That's the most important thing in the world to a writer.
A full-fledged Summer Pledge Drive is still a few weeks away, but right now buying the book and sending those numbers up is all I'm really interested in.
Hope you can help.
