I'll attempt to keep this short, to the point, and as free of angry expletives as possible; suffice to say that if only twenty or so manage to find their way in, you can rest assured that I've exhibited a measure of self-control beyond my wildest expectations.
Please understand, I have no issue with Pat Robertson going on the air on The 700 Club and making ominous predictions about a massive terrorist attack which Jesus has personally informed him is going to happen toward the end of this year.
He's a fucking lunatic; that's what they do.
What I have an issue with is the fact that almost every supposedly responsible television news outlet in America actually devoted airtime to Punxsutawney Pat's ridiculous rhetoric this morning. They turned what would've otherwise been the hallucinatory ravings of a batshit-senile jackass that would've been seen by no more than the select few foolish enough to care -- into national news seen by practically every living human being in the country.
I swear to God, if anyone has the nerve to ask me why I want to get the hell out of this business, I'm going to pour gasoline on them and set them on fire.
