(Completely Insane) Quote of the Day

"The American People are witnessing the greatest lie that is cleverly orchestrated by President Obama and his whole administration. President Obama feeds people poison, giving them the idea that they are entitled to take from the wealthier who have lived and worked in a democracy that understands that capitalism is the only truth that keeps a nation healthy ... (It's) a socialistic, Marxist teaching, and with it, he rapes this nation."

-- Sperm donor to Angelina Jolie and apparent prescription drug abuser Jon Voight, on Fox News this past weekend

Method Act To His Madness

I meant to pop this up late last week, but somehow it slipped through the cracks:

You know, I really thought Jon Voight was terrific on the last season of 24 as Jonas Hodges, the completely-off-his-rocker reactionary who wanted to wage war on the government because he believed it had turned against its people and principles.

Now I realize he wasn't acting.

Quote of the Week (Honorable Mention)

"We have a fellow who's bringing us to chaos and socialism."

-- Jon Voight, star of Anaconda and Bratz, referring to Barack Obama and proving that the right is correct about at least one thing*: Hollywood actors should probably stop assuming that because they're famous anyone gives a damn about their opinions on politics

*The right's correct about what it generally says in this case -- though, as usual, not what it does. Which is proven by the fact that Voight was allowed on O'Reilly last night to make this idiotic statement. As long as you're one of the few celebrities who agrees with the conservative contingent -- you know, Ted Nugent, Victoria Jackson, etc. -- you can have all the time you want to speak your piece. It's your constitutionally protected right after all.
