The pop songs occasionally slipped into the outros and rejoins of CNN's various newscasts have apparently become the dominion of the most subversive among the network's staff. Just about everyone remembers the time back in May of this year when Kyra Phillips was forced to apologize on-air after CNN ran a story about a 104-year-old driver, who happened to be black, and played Coolio's Fantastic Voyage on the way to break -- specifically the part where he raps, "Ain't no punk-ass niggas set trippin'."
Well, this morning on American Morning, CNN bumped in with images of snow and used as a music bed -- wait for it -- Buckcherry's Lit Up. Complete with the line, "I'm on a plane, with cocaine."
Different kind of snow there, guys. But thanks for the laugh.
Oh, and then of course there's this inexplicable bit of hilarity.
