Listening Post

It's a song that just seems fitting on this day -- the tenth anniversary of the last day of the rest of our lives.

Here's Radiohead -- Everything in Its Right Place.

Quote of the Day

Let's Get To Work

Kind of like Cesca is pushing readers of his own site to do right now, for my reaction to last night's address by President Obama to Congress, download or listen to this week's podcast. Bob and I recorded it immediately following the speech, and it has our perspectives on it.

Bottom line: Obama brought it -- big time.

Jon Stewart positively nails the point that Cesca and I have been discussing on the podcast for a couple of weeks now: swaggering, shit-kicking pretend tough-guy action figure Rick Perry is almost certain to win the Republican nomination -- precisely because he's a swaggering, shit-kicking pretend tough-guy action figure.

Plus Stewart manages a nice parting shot at the clownish buffoonery of Al Sharpton, just as a little bonus.

By the way, if you're interested, a second clip from last night's Daily Show is posted over at HuffPo -- this one has Stewart subtly mocking NBC/Telemundo's Jose Diaz-Balart. Or as I like to call him, the Least Interesting Man in the World.
