Listening Post
Finally available for mass consumption (without having to pay iTunes $1.99), it's the new video from My Chemical Romance -- doing a balls-out cool-as-hell cover of Dylan's Desolation Row for the Watchmen soundtrack.
Love, love, love this song.

Sit Rep
So I finally got around to watching last week's Battlestar Galactica.
Wow.
Well, at least no one can accuse them of not making good on the promise that "You Will Know the Truth."
Thoughts? Theories?

Listening Post
Sax player John Lurie's acid-jazz consortium, The Lounge Lizards, made some of my favorite music during the late 80s and early 90s. It was clever; it was beautiful; it was totally adventurous and often outright weird. The Lounge Lizards incorporated elements of blues, rock, African rhythms and, of course, jazz.
The result was usually noirish, gaslight mood music -- the kind of thing you'd listening to while crawling through city streets and alleys well after midnight.
This song fits that description perfectly.
Here's The Hanging.
