Listening Post
Maybe there's something to be said for the fact that Filter hasn't really changed in almost 20 years. While some would see it as tedious and
unimaginative, I kind of feel comforted by it. They've made blisteringly heavy but endlessly melodic rock going all the way back to 1995, with quite a bit of their stuff acting as a soundtrack to various points in my life between then and now, and I can't think of that as being anything but good.
Here's "new" Filter. This is What Do You Say.

Listening Post
Finally back from an extended holiday. Sorry about the lack of warning, kids.
Anyway, still a big fan of these guys after all this time -- and this kind of thing is exactly what I need to wake me up a little this morning.
Here's Filter's Welcome To the Fold.

Listening Post
I've been a Filter fan for quite a while; they make good, solid rock music and there's not a thing wrong with that. The band's new album is a nice little follow-up to 2002's The Amalgamut, albeit one that was nine years in the making and which followed a couple of unspectacular releases.
Here's Filter doing what they do best.

Listening Post
Believe it or not, the new album from Filter is surprisingly decent; it's a return to form for a band that was always good at bringing just the right amount of heavy and melodic at the same time. That said, I'm still not sure how I feel about an auto-tuned Richard Patrick. Strangely, despite being one of the record's less interesting tracks, this is the first single.
Here's The Inevitable Relapse.
Happy Friday, boys and girls.
