Listening Post

City and Colour's Little Hell was one of my favorite albums of last year -- and this is one of the best songs from it.

With a video I wouldn't quite have expected from a guy who's ostensibly a folk musician, here's Fragile Bird.

Canada's Alexisonfire is one of the best post-hardcore bands around, or at least they were until they announced their break-up two days ago. Their ferocity will certainly be missed, but considering that their frontman was Dallas Green, who now records under the name City and Colour (get it?), and his solo stuff is just flat-out spectacular, at least they died for a good cause.

Above it's Alexisonfire's This Could Be Anywhere in the World.

Below, it's one of the best tracks from City and Colour's new album -- a song called Hope for Now.

City and Colour is the stage name of Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green. (Get it? City and Colour?)
