Listening Post
Before emo power-pop bands took over the planet, there were these guys -- and they did it better than just about anybody who followed them.
From American Hi-Fi's 2001 debut album, here's Another Perfect Day.

Listening Post
Despite their current far-too-close relationship with Miley Cyrus, I've always liked American Hi-Fi. Their 2001 debut album was emo power-pop before that genre even came into fashion -- and it was executed damn-near perfectly.
The band's brand new record is a return to that kind of form (the album's cover art is even a direct reference to the debut), and while enough time has passed that I'm not as excited about it as I would've once been, what these guys do they still do very well.
Here's the new single -- Lost.
Happy Friday, kids.
