So, I see that pharmaceutical behemoth Pfizer has enlisted (read: paid an exorbitant sum of money to...) Dr. Robert Jarvik to help push its cholesterol-fighting drug Lipitor.
In the series of TV commercials currently running all over the place, Dr. Jarvik is seen sitting by a placid mountain lake, unassumingly dressed in a denim shirt and khaki pants. He turns to the camera and correctly identifies himself as the inventor of the artificial heart.
If I remember correctly though, the successful model of that particular "product" bore the name "Jarvik VII."
I wonder what happened to the patients who were implanted with Jarviks I through VI.
